Guidelines for Content of Reviews Please
Read
1. The format of the review will be determined by the author,
but is subject to approval by the webmaster. 2. The review must have been
written by the person submitting it. Any content written by another person must
be clearly indicated and the source cited. 3. Reviews must be in English.
4. Reviews should be reasonably well written in complete sentences, make
specific points, and include at least 200 words. 5. Paragraphs must be
preceded by:
and ended by:
. 6. Italics must be
indicated by preceding the word(s) meant to be italicized with and
following it (them) with . Titles of movies should be given in
italics. 7. The following (A-H) are prohibited: A. Profanity, except
as given in relevant quotations. B. Telephone numbers, mailing addresses,
and links to other sites. C. Derogatory personal remarks about other
individuals. The author is permitted to criticize another person's relevant
work, but should not insult any other person. For example: "Actor X gives an
inept performance" is acceptable, but "Actor X is ugly, stupid, and smells bad"
is not. D. Any mean-spirited or spiteful remarks. E. Comments insulting
or inciting hatred towards any racial, ethnic, or religious group. F.
Photographic images of any sort. G. Reviews of pornographic works. Reviews
of works which include graphic sexual content are, however, permitted, so long
as such works have substantial content in addition to their sexual content.
H. Any words written entirely in capitals. 8. The author must provide
a name to be given on the webpage where his/her review is posted as that of the
author of the review. 9. All reviews must conform with the conditions to
which the webmaster has agreed with his advertisers. These are available on the
websites of those advertisers. 10. The author must indicate the star
rating(s), on a scale of 1-5 stars, he/she wants to assign to the movie he/she
has reviewed. The author need not but may distinguish between ratings for
aesthetic and entertainment values. 11. Include the English title of the
movie, the name of its director, and the year it was released. 12. Feel free
to disagree in your reviews with the webmaster's opinions about specific movies
and aesthetic principles. In fact, you are encouraged to do so. 13. Feel
free to disregard the webmaster's criteria for
inclusion.
